How I Work

Belican Builds is just me. Elliott Genther. I do the work, I show up on time, and I answer the phone.

That matters because when you hire me, you get me. Not a crew you have never met. Not a subcontractor I called last week. I am the person who looks at your space, thinks through the problem, builds the solution, and stands behind it.

Here is what I care about and what you can expect.

The work comes first

I am not trying to sell you anything. If something does not make sense for your space or your budget, I will tell you. The goal is a finished result you are happy with, not a bigger invoice.

You will always know what things cost

Before anything starts, you know what it costs and why. If something changes mid-project, we talk about it before I proceed. No surprises on the invoice.

I work around how you actually live

A beautiful room that does not function is a missed opportunity. I ask questions before I pick up a tool, because you know your home better than I do. The best results come from that conversation, not from me showing up with a plan already made.

Things come up

Every project reveals something. A wall that is not where it should be. A pipe that changes the plan. When that happens I call you, tell you what I found, and we figure out the next step together. I do not pretend problems are not there.

The rate is $60 per hour plus materials

No hidden markup on materials. You pay what I pay. The hourly rate covers everything else.
